Instead, consider the use of granite – it is a hard-wearing surface that offers timeless chic. Meanwhile, glass is great for sitting areas, though consider a translucent pane instead of a clear one.
Good lighting
Finally, you must focus on lighting, simply because it plays a vital role in a design's success. To have the option of both bright spotlights (for preparation) and dimmer fittings (for dining or entertaining) is important, so long as you get the balance correct.
